From the pier we follow the road to the turn at the end of the village. From here we follow the path up towards Ravnfløy viewpoint, continue north-east on a marked path along the mountainside to Dalebekken. The hike is relatively steep and in rough terrain. We hike past the large cairn on Sauefjellet (Sheep mountain) before crossing a large paleic plain on our route to Midtertinden. We step it up by following the edge of Sauefjellet on our way back for an alpine view to the north.
